We came in from Pittsburgh in hopes of sun, beach, food and drink. The weather was god awful… High winds, cool, cloudy, rainy. So we’ll focus on the positives. The Condo–The Mostow’s– well done!! Everything is here that you would expect, and many things you would not expect and the quality of the glassware, kitchen gadgets, etc…A+!!
Good restaurants/bars to frequent:
*Gabriella’s–Good Pizza!!*Louie’s Backyard– Great all around food & drink (cheap!!) especially ribs, burgers, Mexican plate, fajitas*South Padre Brewery -Shrimp tacos, Shrimp spinach Salad…*Daddy’s- Red Snapper (Rockefeller)…*Blackbeard’s – Great inexpensive lunch
Good side trip- drive to Brownsville, get shrimp along the way (Shrimp Outlet) to cook for dinner, go to the Vermillion for lunch- great Mexican food..talk to Dan (owner) great guy.
Since weather was bad, we used the fitness center a lot (nice) and used the Movie Theatre (Wow..Very Nice!)
Would definitely return but would probably pick a different time of year.
